Birth Day 2020 - A Journey of 50 Years

Birth Day 2020 It is my birthday. I’m now 50. And, being halfway to 100, in a way, it feels like this ride is halfway over, and I wonder to myself, what will be next? Looking back, I’ve always wanted to do something to make things better; something to help “save the world”. I think this feeling was always there. I remember back to when I was just starting to think of the answer to the question, “why are you here?”, and there were these TV commercials about the famine in Ethiopia, and not just commercials, but at church we also were encouraged to collect money in a “rice bowl” (made of paper folded into a box that looked sort of like a bowl with a top and a slit in the lid to put in coins) so that rice could be bought to feed the people there, and I had that rice bowl in my room, and I think I may have taken it by bus to the school, and I just wanted to be able to help the people I was a bit of an odd duck at that time.
