How to read: 1. skim 2. skim again, slower 3. skim yet again, slower still and then click on a few that are interesting, and read or watch 4. skim once again, and read a few more 5. share this post, if you haven't already 6. please let me know if there is anything I can do for you. This compilation of relevant and interesting news took me over four hours to put together, from 6:30 until 11:30 EDT :-) What I need is just that good truthful information and hope be shared. So, if you would #1 share this to "public" and to all of your groups; #2 react to it (not like) and #3 ask a question in the comments; that would be a gift :-) -- Aaron Wayne Wissner NEWS 2020 04 04 April 4 Saturday (posted on April 5 Sunday at 11:30 a.m. EDT) Prof Steve Keen is creating realistic economics for the post-crash world | Patreon  -- new post about exponential growth This Is Where The World Is On The "Corona Curve" At This Moment | Zero Hedge  -- interesting, but i...

Mostly my research and reading from 2020 04 04 Saturday Hints: while watching videos, try 2x speed first, and then step down to whatever is comfortable.  Some videos can be viewed at 2x for a lot of the time, but then need to be rewound, or slowed down, for second time through Steve Keen is great, but he's not the only economist that is communicating those messages: Stephanie Kelton Dr Stephanie Kelton On Modern Monetary Theory - YouTube  -- does not seem to be aware of debt bubble Stephanie Kelton: MMT, the Crisis, and the Real Economy - YouTube Stephanie Kelton - Wikipedia Michael Hudson The Radical Imagination | Imagining How the World of Finance Really Works - YouTube  -- start at 9:00 or 9:11 -- classical economist Michael Hudson (economist) - Wikipedia www.levyinstitute.org/scholars/michael-hudson Michael Hudson Michael Hudson, Author at Evonomics Of course, understanding money/credit/debt is just one aspect of understanding how things ...

What States Can Do Now

Best. TV. Ever. The governor of Michigan, Gretchen Whitmer, goes on the air, state wide, on every channel, with the top three TV anchors in the state, for a full uncut hour of answering questions about the "Stay Home, Stay Safe" order as well as the state's response, and needs, to the crisis. That is available on YouTube, uncut, from NBC News under "Michigan Gov. Whitmer Holds Coronavirus Townhall" My takeaways and suggestions: 1. That everyone sign up to help on the new state web site: Help is needed in southeast Michigan, especially in the hospitals of Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties -- and there is a call to all, in Michigan or not, to come help. To sign up, a brand new state web page has been set up so that ANYONE can volunteer, but in this case, ESPECIALLY anyone with any medical experience OR experience in hospitals ( Go to Michigan.gov / fightcovid19 ) 2. That the the State of Michigan lottery should be temporarily suspended for two reason...

Hope from History in Times of Change

One need not be a church goer to be comforted by the words of one Pope's message for World Day of Prayer for Vocations - Vatican News Even one without faith can understand this message, especially if one accepts a few likelihoods: That there was once before a great economic crisis (as always eventually happens with money and debt) and that the one who first understood the truth of the crisis AND then taught this truth to those around him, grew so trusted and loved, that his story was recorded, and being true in all regards, stood the test of time, and is now written in the Bible as the story of the life and teachings of that man That God is a synonym for the cosmos or existence (especially the earth and the sun) and that we humans are the "inevitable result" of time (or "evolution") and that the powerful emotion of Love is inherent in all babies, and therefore all adults as well That stress from unexpected change triggers freeze->flight/fight impulses...

You may be wondering this especially given the need to protect your family and to support your community and your nation.  Here is are the two lists: Bills to Pay and Bills to Delay Number one is taking care of the food needs for your children, your family, those dependent upon you.  Number two is supporting those who need your payment so they can buy food.  BILLS TO PAY Food - until a plan is implemented to provide for cashless "payment" Support - so children and former spouses can pay for food Care homes - so they can buy food for your loved ones Trash removal Medicine - life prolonging Energy - gasoline, propane, natural gas, coal Association Fees - to pay for labor and fuel, ex. movement of snow, trash, roofing, etc. Direct Services - labor - anyone whose source of money comes directly from you and could be settled in cash, ex. doctor, dentist, plumber, electrician, repair, shop...
